About Institution

A seed of thought to establish technical institutions in the vicinity fo the paddy enriched area of Gangavati to provide the rural students the benefit of technical education started to sprout with the establishment of the industrial training institutes of Agalakera and Kanakagiri in the year 2007-2008 respectively.The city is sorrounded by many industries like Kalyani Ferrous Industries, Kirloskar Ferrours Industries, Sponge Iron Industries, Ultratech Cement Company, Indira Power Plant, Power Grid Corporation Mallapura, Saw Mills, Paddy Mills and Sugar Factories. So there is very high demand of technical students and there is need of Polytechnics and Engineering Colleges.The grievances of the parents and the struggling of the students to go far away places of about 100 to 200Kms. for studies forced us to open atleast a polytechnic institute thus, with blessing of Sri Guru Mulliarjuna Maha Swamiji M.S.M.S. Rural Polytechnic was established in the year 2009 by laying foundation stone at Marali, 7 Kms away from Gangavati towards Raichur with an aim to be prodvide value based technical education.
