'SAMS' Institute of Hotel Management Varanasi, has been certified and approved by international bodies like- ISO 9001:2000, AIMA, CII, FHRAI and British Council (London). It is spread in a sprawling Campus with a grand Hostel within the campus with all modern facilities .With increasing globalization and liberalization, the profile of a SAMS is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of INDIA and affiliated to U.P. Technical University, under U.G.C., Govt. of India. Consequently, hotels experience full occupancy all the year round, not just during the “Tourist” season. Further, hotels located in all locations not just “Tourist spots” also experience a large influx of visitors. Also, business visitors are heading in the direction of developing nations from developed nations. This has led to an increase of 30% in the volume of visitors in South East Asia, as compared to an increase of 13% at the global level.
To cater to this huge flow of high profile visitors, there is a need for effective and efficient managers in all hotels. This naturally means that managers ought to be thoroughbred professionals who have been trained in a professional environment, with a professional infrastructure, and by a team of experienced and learned faculty members. At SAMS, this is precisely what we ensure. Recognizing the requirement for managers, particularly in Varanasi, and recognizing the need for an institution that can train students to deliver as managers, we started SAMS. Varanasi, as we know, has been an important pilgrim destination since time immemorial.
