THE ACADEMY OF REALIST ART (ARA) is one of a select few art schools in the world that teaches the academic approach to figure drawing and painting based on classical techniques used by the 19th-century European academies. Our flexible full- and part-time programs let you learn the academic foundations at your own pace, regardless of your level of experience. ARA also offers a number of highly popular one and two-week workshops in Toronto, Boston, London and Edinburgh, where participants can explore a wide range of subjects, mediums and ideas.
