Apple and Cisco are the two renowned companies now joined hands to provide a fastest WiFi network. They are involving in process to enable the users to make use of most effective WiFi network and prioritizing business application with the help of Cisco’s network on Apple’s mobile device. The Cisco Spark made collaboration with the Apple’s device and services in which most of the centers on integrating Cisco Spark. At present, it is in beta or testing stage and it will be launched along with Apple’s next software upgrade, iOS 10, which is expected to be launch this year.
"With iOS 10 we're also making it easier to make and receive voice and video calls over IP. The Cisco Spark will integrate with iPhone for a first class calling experience," Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook said on Monday via video link at the Cisco Live keynote address here by Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins. Since last year of August, both the companies have tie up to accomplish new features. Part of the work is prioritizing business applications over official networks.
"If I am running my business application on here, and I am in the office and I am trying to check on something that lets say I need for a shareholder meeting at 4, or a board meeting, and I am trying to run that application, then having the infrastructure know that that application should receive priority over some one watching a cat video on YouTube," Robbins stated ET in an exclusive interaction earlier this week.
Cook detailed it as "delivering a fast lane to make sure that the apps that power your business automatically get top priority on the network". This WiFi network makes use of the user to connect to the best network. In case of a large area with more than one WiFi network, the mobile device usually access the strong signal even if there are more than hundred people accessing the same network rather than to access the weak signal with another WiFi. This leads to a poor quality of network whereas weak signal with lower number of people provides a better quality.
A Cisco employee who is part of the team that is working together with Apple said the focus was on getting "the best experience from an access point". Another outcome will be integrating Spark directly with phone calling. It allows the user to switch from conference call to video call by a single swipe on Apple’s mobile device without dialing a number.
