Since 2008, TCSA has worked to accelerate student achievement in Texas by strengthening and supporting a diverse set of effective, public charter schools.

We believe that every parent should have the opportunity to choose the free, public school that best fits their student’s needs and Texas families are speaking out! Charter schools serve 202,972 students in 628 campuses across the state, and there are an estimated 105,000 students waiting for a seat at a charter school.

Here on our website, there’s something for everyone. Member school leaders and operators can access our TCSA Quality Portal , a free, comprehensive analysis tool – the first in the nation created by school leaders and industry experts to promote continuous improvement through academic and financial reviews. Innovative, entrepreneurial and passionate people interested in starting a Texas charter school can get expert advice and guidance through TCSA’s Charter Development Services. Families interested in a charter school for their student can search TCSA’s interactive map of charter schools to determine the best fit for their child. Educators, alumni, students and families can speak out on behalf of their charter school by joining the Charter Revolution and learn more about our legislative priorities and fight for equal funding for charter school students. We need everyone’s help with the fight to close the funding gap between public charter schools and traditional school districts, as well as maintain the important freedoms and flexibilities that charter schools depend on to serve Texas students.
