Scott Joel Aaronson (born May 21, 1981)is a theoretical computer scientist and faculty member in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.He won Alan T. Waterman Award in 2012 for  developing illuminating the fundamental limits on what can be computed in the physical world, and the potential implications of those limits, Scott Aaronson has staked out important new ground in computational theory.
