S.P. Misra was the first Hyderabadi to play competitive tennis in the international circuit.He played in one of the longest games in the U.S. Open history when he beat Aguimo Ernest of Chile in the second round.Misra had the honour of being the first international-level player from Hyderabad. But he is quick to point out how he missed having a predecessor.He received Dhyan Chand Awards in 2015 for Tennis.
