Xie Yi (born 23 July 1967) is a Chinese chemist. Xie is a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. She is a professor and doctoral supervisor at University of Science and Technology of China.Xie Yi won the L'Oréal-UNESCO Award for Women in Science in March 2015 for  her significant contributions to inorganic solid state solvothermal chemistry at the nanoscale, particularly unconventional semi-conductor materials and graphene-like structures a few atoms thick.
