Capital College of Higher Education (CCHE), established in 2004, is affiliated to Nagaland University. The college is also recognized by the University Grants Commission(UGC) under Section 12(B) of the UGC Act of 1956.
The College is an arts college providing B.A (General and Honours). Besides, the college in collaboration with the All India Computer Saksharta Mission(AICSM) offers a six months course of Diploma in Computer Application (DCA). The college provides morning-shift; thus providing opportunity to employed (public or private sector) persons to be able to enroll for degree course and attend regular classes, as well as attend to their official duties after classes are over. It may also be noted that many people who become employed after passing Pre-University course or 10+2 find it impossible to enroll for Degree course because the class timing in most of the colleges are the same as that of their offices whether it is in the public or private sector. Hence, the opportunity that is made available can be considered as one of the positive developments in furthering higher education while at the same time keeping in mind the basic professional requirements that students need in pursuing a career. In the learning process, the college considers it to be imperative that the students excel in their quest for knowledge. In order to achieve this, the college provides an excellent environment for academic pursuit by imparting total quality education by well experienced and highly qualified teachers.
