Moti Lal Nehru Medical College

The Moti Lal Nehru Medical College, popularly known as MLN Medical College or MLNMC, is the centre for the prevention, treatment, education and research in all the areas of Medical Sciences and is recognised as one of the leading education centres in this part of the world. We are celebrating our Golden Jubilee in this year 2011. In the British Raj there was a district jail at South Malaka this was the place where Pandit Moti Lal Nehru was kept imprisoned, in 1930, for his leading role in the freedom movement. After independence these premises were handed over to the Medical College and the Teaching Hospital of the Medical College thus came into existence here.
