The founder of the Trust Mr. V.G. Rajendran is a construction professional and has successfully promoted a number of residential complexes in and around the city of Chennai.Having won accolades in his own profession, Mr. V.G. Rajendran, a keen social activist and visionary, felt that he should contribute his might to the betterment of the society as a part of his social commitment. This he felt could be achieved by promoting Educational Institutions that impart high quality education at an affordable cost so that the middle class and the less privileged could stand to benefit. A strong and committed engineering base is an essential pre-requisite for rapid and holistic industrialization and hence the Trust decided to establish engineering institutions covering a range of disciplines.Thiruvallur District, an industrially backward area, but with potential for broad based industrialization was chosen to locate the institutions.Pandur, located 5 kilometers from Thiruvallur Township where the Trust owns sufficient land with all the necessary infrastructure, was selected to site the institutions.
