Daita Madhusudana Sastry Sri Venkateswara Hindu College of Engineering, Machilipatnam is one of the oldest self financed institutions in the state of Andhra Pradesh to impart high quality of Technical Education in the Engineering discipline. The college is affiliated to JNTUK and is located in the historic town of Machilipatnam which is also the headquarters of Krishna District. The college was established and founded during the year 1980-81 by The Hindu High & Branch Schools Society (Estd. In 1856) under the guidance of late Sri Daita Madhusudana Sastry, a prominent advocate and educationist. The college is privately managed and owes its existence to the untiring efforts of the members of the Society.The Engineering college campus is located with in a radius of 6km from Machilipatnam town on one side and Manginipudi Beach on the another side. College offers professional courses both at the graduate and postgraduate levels in engineering and computer applications streams. Graduate courses include Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.,) in five branches, namely, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.The College also offers M.Tech program in Mechanical Engineering with Specialization in Machine Design and Civil Engineeringwith Specialization in Structural Engineering. All the courses are approved by All India Council of Technical Education (A I C T E) with a total annual intake of 420 for B.Tech. courses. Our institution is equipped with excellent infrastructure and is run by highly qualified and experienced faculty.D.M.S. S.V.H.C.E. is producing excellent results consistently every year with some of the students emerging as University rankers also. Students from our college are extremely well placed in reputed organisations both in India and abroad.
