Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu (IIT Jammu) will start operating from the 2016- 17 session itself from a temporary campus in Jammu. It will be mentored by IIT Delhi.

The total intake in the first year will be 90 -- 30 each in computer science and engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.
