About Institution

Dr.Panjabrao alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh the first Agriculture Minister of India founded Shri Shivaji Education Society in 1932.His aim was to educate the neglected and needy section of society. He believed that through the education of each and every needy person of the last corner of society, it is possible to bring development in their life. Since its foundation this education society is continuously insisting for social brotherhood, equality as well as quality education to make the progress in all section of the society.
This institution has moulded thousands of creative personalities and leading generations of the students to make them capable to lead the life of many.
* Today Bhausaheb’s Education Society becomes the biggest education society in central India. The Society imparts education and knowledge through its 213 Branches among which are- Senior colleges (36),Junior Colleges (54),HighSchools (72),D.T.Ed.Colleges (02)PrimarySchools (05), Residential
Schools(02), Hostels(38), SmrutiBhawan(01), SmrutiSangrahalaya (01), Swimming –Tanks (01), Shivaji-Opset (01).
* The society has received the prestigious awards like Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Dalit Mitra Puraskar in 1993-94,Sant Gadge Maharaj Seva Puraskar in 1999-2000 and the best Educational Institution Award in 2000 From Govt. of Maharashtra for its excellent work.

Vision

Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati was established in the month of December 2, 1932. The vision of the society is to make special efforts for the progress of education in vidarbha and elsewhere, particularly for the poor and backward classes and whereas it is necessary to start special institutions for achieving this objectives, in the faculties of Agriculture, Science, Literature, Commerce,Industry, Arts and Law and to encourage Games And Sport
Women Education, Biotechnology Medical Education, with Hospital and Medical Research Centre Etc.

Mission

‘Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya’:- “LEAD ME FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT” This is a prayer taken from Rigweda, having a noble and exalted mission. This is the noble mission of Shri Shivaji Education Society Amravati. Hence ultimately the institution becomes a natural heir to the mission of the society. As per the above shloke, the institution too is determined to strive for the removal of Darkness from Human Mindset through Education and thereby bring Light and Wisdom into Human Life. As the institution is located in rural area the students are children of farmers belonging to low-earning families. The institution will provide best opportunities in the field of education to the unprivileged, poor and backward class students. It will be with the help of modern infrastructure and learning resources and other facilities. The institution from its inception is earnestly, steadily and sincerely endeavored to bring this mission to fruition.
