1st meeting of the governing body took place on 26th December 1968 with a vision to open a college to enlighten the underpriviledged section of the society with ray of education in glorious presence of Sri Bhola Prasad Sah (Secretary), Sri Chandrabhanu Mehta (President), Sri Ganpat Mahto, Sri Paltan Ram and Sri Manjay Lal (Member of Parliament).
In that meeting descision was taken to open the college in leadership of our beloved JAN NAYAK Sri Karpoori Thakur Jee.
Finally the college was established on 04th September 1969 in Tajpur location of Samastipur district in Bihar with name : “Dr. Lohia Karpoori Vishweshwar Das College”.
College follows Sri Karpoori Thakur’s vision towards education and empowerment of under priviledged section of all societies.
It aims to tailor competent, cultured, confident youths specially from under previledged section of our society endowed with noble values that make them a shining star in the family and society.
