Government polytechnic Himatnagar is a State Government Institute situated at Himatnagar, Head quarter of Sabarkantha district. The city is located 80 kms. away from mega city Ahmedabad and 50 kms away from the capital city Gandhinagar on National Highway No.8-HC

Sabarkantha is a tribal dominated district having new emerging ceramic industries and reasonably development of dairy business. People and students of this district are very simple and sober.

The main objective of Commissionerate of Technical Education for establishing this Institute is to up-lift the equality and technical education of the society as well as cop up with the advancement global world. Hence, we all are striving very hard to impart quality and skill among the students and knowledge required to convert them into a productive diploma holder with the help of dedicated faculties.
