About Institution

The Safdurjung Enclave Education Society established Green Fields School and its foundation stone was laid by Sri Sankaracharya in 1967. Over the years the school has established its reputation as one of the best educational institutions in South Delhi with a distinct identity of its own for imparting quality education.

Mission

Our mission is to develop students with active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. We stress the total development of each child, spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional and physical.
Green Fields School recognizes that each child is an individual, that all children need to succeed. Therefore, GFS respects the individual needs of children, fosters a caring and creative environment for the holistic development of the child.
We need to create a challenging learning, environment that encourages high expectations for success through development, appropriate instruction, that allows for individual differences and learing styles. Our school promotes a safe, orderly, caring and supportive environment. Each student’s self-esteem is fostered by positive relationships with students and staff. We strive to have our parents, teachers and community members actively involved in our student’s learning. GFS strives to make children confident and creative builders of their future. We work towards an integrated curriculum that reaches across disciplines and age levels; the students are encouraged to meet academic challenges with openness, enthusiasm, and a willingness to solve problems. We aim for an atmosphere of cooperation, with respect for individual differences and community values.
