Green Hills Engineering College, Kumarhatti, Solan (H.P.) is a private, self-financed, non-government, technical educational institute promoted by the Green Hills Engineering College Society. The college is situated amongst the serene and sylvan valley of Gandhi gram at an equal distance from Shimla and Chandigarh. Green Hills Engineering College is a private, self-financed, non-government, Technical Educational Institute promoted by Green Hills Engineering College Society. The College received the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in the year 2003 and started with four-year Bachelor of Engineering Degree Courses in four disciplines and has introduced two more degree courses thereafter. The college has also stared 2-year M.Tech. Degree Courses in Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
The main aim of the society is to establish and promote or render aid to schools, colleges, educational institutions, technical institutions in one or all fields of engineering(computer, information & technology, electrical & electronics, mechanical),research, medical, commerce, arts or any system of education.
To promote education, vocational technical & otherwise the diffusion of useful knowledge, medical relief, industrial training including all aspects of rural knowledge and social welfare projects, irrespective of race, caste, community and creed.
To engage in social welfare activities aimed at improving living conditions & general welfare of the poor and indigent persons of whatsoever occupation, irrespective of race, caste, community and creed.
To promote deeper spiritual values in personal and community life.
