About Institution

Helapuri Institute of Technology and Science, was established under the aegis of Sri Gayathri Educational Society, Sattupally, in the year 2009-10. The college is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTU-K). The college is located in a serene environment, far away from rush and gush of urban life, surrounded by green fields and highly favorable for study environment. The college is located on the Eluru-Jangareddygudem highway and is well connected road transport system, and is about 5km from Eluru. It started with an intake of 240, 60each in four branches in B.Tech, viz., Civil, Computer Science and Engineering(CSE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering(EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering(ECE). The intake of ECE and EEE branches was increased to 120 each in the year 2010-11. Another branch of study, viz., B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering was introduced in year 2011-12. The AICTE had sanctioned two M.Tech programmers in ECE and EEE departments from academic year 2012-13.
The college provides all the infra-structure and facilities needed for a comfortable life in the campus. It has a good library providing more than 7900 volume of books. The R.O. Mineral water plant caters to the needs of potable water. The other facilities inclues canteen, transport, sports, cultural, student clubs etc.,
