About Institution

Jai Prakash College was established on 01 August 1952 to provide higher education in this backward & rural area of the Bihar state. The college was established with the contribution of Late Shivdhari Prasad singh a renowned freedom fighter & a friend of the great leader Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan of the Samajwadi party. The college became a constituent unit of T.M.B. University Bhagalpur in 1975. The college has a glorious past. Its campus is around 27 acres of lush green area.
The college is located between the national highway in the east and Narayanpur Railway station in the south.The college can boast of high standard of teaching, the credit of which goes to its devoted teachers. Ninety percent of its teachers have got Doctorate degree. We offer all general and vocational courses.The college has special provision for scholarship for BPL students. The college has got a large field that helps pramote sports activities.Besides sports,other extra carricular activities,such as debate,music etc.. are also held

Vision

J.P.College Narayanpur named after the legendary socialist leader and great freedom fighter Late Jao Prakash Narayanpur,was established on 1st August,1952 with an aim to propogate and promote higher education among the socially and educationally backward students of the area.Late Shivdhari Singh,the founder of the college had the aim to enhance and upgrade the knowledge of the local students and help them reach and realise their gools through education.

Mission

The college aims at proriding education to all who wish to have it and improre upon themselves.It wishes to propogate not only formal education not also moral and spiritnal education
