Loreto Convent School was founded on May 10th 1909 starting with 23-day students and 3 boarders. In 2009, Loreto Convent, Shillong celebrated 100 years of its dedicated service to children of the region and society at large

As Loreto educators, we labour to extend “God’s Glory”, to live in an attitude of discernment seeking “God’s Will” in all, by creating an atmosphere where faith in God abides and values like love, freedom, sincerity and justice empower our girls to act with purpose and wisdom, thus fulfilling the vision of Mary Ward.
