While Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar spoke as the chief guest during the 28th annual function and 'Yajurved Parayan Mahayagya Samapan Evam Shilanyas Samaroh' of Gurjar Kanya Gurukul Sansthan in Deodhar in Yamunanagar district he said with the great joy that Beti Bachao Beti Padhao mission is achieving positive results in promoting education of girl child and curbing female foeticide in the last one year.
He said that three families improve because of an educated and cultured woman. He added that the Haryana government implemented ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ programme under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an effective manner and everyone should contribute towards this effort.
With a view to encourage the Sansthan's efforts to promote women's education since 1984, Mr Khattar announced to give a sum of one crore from his fund of which fifty lakh would be made available during this financial year and the rest would be made available during the next financial year. Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kanwar Pal announced to give a sum of Rs. 11 lakh to the Gurjar Kanya Gurukul Sansthan from his fund for the promotion of education.
While speaking as the Chief Guest during the 'Shashtipoorti Mahotsav' organized on the occasion of completion of 60 years of the Saraswati Shikshan Sansthan, the Chief Minister said that the quality-oriented education should be imparted to children, which would instill the feeling of patriotism in them. He also announced to give a sum of Rs. 21 lakh to the Shikshan Sansthan. He also announced to give a sum of Rs. 21 lakh to the college management.
