Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) launched an Online Admission System (OAS) on Wednesday.

The system was launched by Pro Vice Chancellor of IGNOU Professor Nageshwar Rao.

“Applicants will now be able to submit their application forms online and receive instant confirmation for successful submission of their application forms through email and SMS,” said Prof. Rao.

There is a provision for payment of programme fee online using the online payment gateway.

The facility will be available for the ongoing admission session for all the 148 academic programmes.

The online admission facility can be accessed on the official website of the university www.ignou.ac.in.

According to the university officials, the last date for submission of application forms for bachelor preparatory programme, certificate, advanced certificate and PG certificate programmes will be June 15.
