The department of education will start an online portal that would ensure transparency in the transfers of employees and put an end to the menace of corruption. According to a report in Press Trust of India (PTI), Minister of State for Education, Priya Sethi said, "To promote transparency and plug the menace of corruption in transfers in the education department, which is one of the biggest in terms of human resources, an online system would be put in place."
She said that the department would also constitute an in-house medical board to monitor the cases of transfer on health ground. The transparent online portal would incorporate database of all the employees and transfers would be done in an automatic manner after completion of requisite stay."For the betterment of education sector, rationalisation would be done and transfers would be made as per the requirement of the education institutes. The process of rationalisation has been initiated under the guidance of Chief Minister (Mufti Mohammad Sayeed) and Education Minister (Naeem Akhtar) who have taken bold steps to ensure quality education in the state," she added.
Highlighting the resolve of the government to revamp education sector in the state, Sethi said that the series of steps have been taken to promote transparency and improve efficiency in the department. The quality education was the top priority of the government and necessary initiatives have been taken to ensure that standard of education in the state improves. We are committed to transparency in the department and ensuring optimal utilisation of human resources, so as to ensure better results in government-run schools.
