UK-based education entrepreneur Praveen Pula announced that his maiden education venture in India, Woxsen School of Business will be inaugurated by the Telangana IT and panchayat raj minister KT Rama Rao and Dr Reddy's Laboratories co-chairman and chief executive officer GV Prasad.
Set up at an investment of Rs 200 crore on a land parcel of 200 acres in Kamkole Village in Medak District, the B-School will see a next round of investment of Rs 300 crore over the next five years by its promoter.
"We will be investing the additional funds in building infrastructure, hiring more faculties and nurturing entrepreneurs and investing in startups," Pulla said, adding that the focus of the B-School will be to create entrepreneurs.
He pointed out that the B-School has already provided a funding of Rs 1 crore for a startup floated by its student - Ormeal, which is in the baby food category and is expected to launch its products soon. Woxsen is currently offering one and two year post graduate programmes in management and has a total strength of 100 students.
