The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday came in for criticism after it uploaded the answer keys to the Joint Entrance Exam 2016 (JEE Main). The question paper had specified that there was only one correct option for each question, but the answer key showed two questions with two correct options. Both the questions are of five marks each.

Results are expected on April 27. Candidates who skipped these questions on finding that they carry two correct options are now apprehensive of losing out on the marks, which they claim could "make a difference to the tune of 10,000 position in the JEE ranking".

According to a parent, Rajiv Bhasin, the CBSE should eithergive bonus marks to everyone or mark on the basis of 88 questions. "No student will be put to disadvantage," said CBSE officiating chairman YSK Seshu Kumar.
