Faridabad Deputy Commissioner launched the 'E-Vidyavahini', a computer literacy vehicle that will travel to the urban and rural belts of the district. Deputy Commissioner said the bus, prepared with an investment of Rs 35 lakhs, is aimed to start the computer training on wheels. 

The E-Vidyavahini is equipped with 20 laptops, one LCD and is connected with internet facility, he said, adding that it can enable computer learning for 20 students at a time. This moving computer training institute would be travelling through urban as well as rural areas of the district, he added.

According to the press release a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Deputy Commissioner Faridabad Amit Kumar Agrawal in the capacity of President District Red Cross Society and Gopal Kukreja, President Rotary Club of Faridabad Sanskar inorder to comply with the Digital India Mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The agreement was about the running of a 'Digital Literacy Bus-E-Vidyavahini' that was dedicated to the people by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar recently. 

Talking about the arrangement of running expenses, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Rotary Club of Faridabad Sanskar has agreed to bear the expenses of the bus driver, conductor, computer trainer and the fuel cost.
