About Institution

amskaara is an initiative by the Founders of Thayarammal Trust, who think education is the starting point for any change that we strive to bring, be it at the personal or societal level.

Akara in Sanskrit means Form or Personality and Sam means ‘totality’. Samskaara Academy is a specially created Organic Space where Children direct their natural course of development with the help of teachers. The fruit of self-directed learning is a deep sense of joy and love for meaningful work and their school, Samskaara. Our main aim is to help them grow into responsible human beings who ‘think’ for themselves. With this goal in mind, we strive to bring on board all stakeholders such as parents and academic experts as ‘Partners’ in this wonderful journey of helping children.
