About Institution

Shah Satnam Ji College of Education is situated in village Nezia Khera, about 7 km from Sirsa town, Distt.Sirsa. It was launched as a result of the vision and initiative of His Holiness Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan of Dera Sacha Sauda for the upliftment of educationally backward and rural youth of the area. It is being well managed by trust Shah Satnam Ji Research and Development Foundation, Sirsa.The head of the institution Dr. Surender Kumar Ishpujani Insan, is an eminent educationist having a vast administrative experience and is providing guidelines for the welfare of the institution. The college has a faculty of 16 members who are dedicated and well educated and having qualification as per norms of NCTE and the affiliating University. 100 seats in B.Ed course, 35 seats in M.Ed course and 50 seats for D.Ed course have been allowed by the NCTE/NRC, Jaipur.

The institution has a campus area of 4 acres near Dera Sacha Sauda in the Distt. Sirsa of Haryana. A lush green campus with grassy lawns and eloquent trees adds to the beauty of this campus. It has well ventilated classrooms, a multipurpose hall, staff rooms, well equipped laboratories (Psychology Lab., Educational Technology Lab., Language Lab., Art and craft lab.).A rich library with reading room facilities, indoor sports facilities, outdoor playgrounds, safe drinking water facilities, sanitation facilities, vehicle parking area. Many computers are with internet facility in the computer lab. Language lab is established in our college for facilitating language learners. The institution also provides accommodation facilities for faculty members or clerical staff in Shah Satnam Ji Pura situated near the institution. Transport facility is also provided by the college for students as well as staff members. All the staff members are provided free bus facility. The institution provides professional education (D.Ed., B.Ed and M.Ed.) to the eligible men and women of the nearby cities, town and country side areas. Shah Satnam Ji College of Education, Sirsa was established after getting recognition through NCTE by letter no.NRC/NCTE F3/HR 422/6321Dated 29/09/2006. At the time of its establishment the institute was affiliated to Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra vide letter no.CG-II/06/135 Dated 10/10/23006. At present, it is affiliated to Ch. Devi Lal University vide Letter no.2190-2231 Dated 07/07/2011B.Ed course was introduced on Dated 29/09/2006 vide letter no. NRC/NCTE/F-3/HR 422/6321.M.Ed course was introduced on dated 17/09/2010 vide letter no.NRC/NCTE/HR.1577/166/F-7/2010/27645-651. At first D.Ed course introduced on dated 05/09/2007 vide letter no.NRC/NCTE/F-7/HR-617/26930 affiliated to SCERT. After that D.Ed course was affiliated to KUK from 2007to 2008 year. Finally at present as per state Govt. orders D.Ed course again is affiliated to SCERT. It is a self financed institution. The management provides all possible assistant for the development of the institution.

Vision

We envision Shah Satnam Ji College of Education as a catalyst for developing true educated engaged and employable individuals whose collective energy will work as a driving force for the prosperity of the society as well as nation. The vision of the college is also to meet our state’s growing need for efficient and committed learner centered teachers who will make education accessible to all without consideration of caste, creed or gender. We will do this by helping our students to develop the right attitude, skill and knowledge. The well defined Vision and Mission are published in the prospectus. This way it continuously gives directions to each one of the college team. All these have been framed keeping in view the need and requirements of the traditions, values, aspirations and spirituality and overall development. It can be bifurcated in the following manner:
o Our society is a globally progressive society which has its citizen working for social and cultural harmony. It must have love and respect for all citizens. We ought to have sensibly sensitive attitude and be ready to take responsibility for the welfare and well being of all.
o Inclusive and holistic development of every individual is essential because we believe “Able Teachers Make Noble Nation”.

Mission

The mission of Shah Satnam Ji College of Education is to develop efficient and real teachers for the development of country, as well as to provide innovative educational environments, opportunities and experiences to enable the individuals, communities and regions to grow, thrive and prosper. The college mission is partially prescribed by the rural area of district Sirsa and it responds to the purpose of a comprehensive village community.

Thus, mission is to produce highly qualified, professionals, sensibly responsible teachers, who are intellectually strong, culturally matured and internally disciplined. The teachers who are ready to take up global responsibilities and serve the society. Certain important aspects of Mission are narrated here:-
a) To provide quality education affordable and accessible to the community as a whole.
b) To provide and guide leadership in workforce and training.
c) To produce the teachers who should work for the economic, social and cultural welfare of masses.
d) To promote education as continuous process of learning and teaching.
e) To produce the teachers who understand and consider education as the way to the development of the region and the society as a whole. The aim of the institute is to be in accordance with the aims as specified by UNESCO.
f) To develop the research aptitude and attitude so as to cope with the global needs.
