About Institution

Sant Gopichand Education and walfare society was formed by a visionary group of professionals in 1978 for educational upliftment of rural folks of Baghpat. The society made a humble beginning in opening an intermediate college in a tiny village, Ahera near Baghpat town.

Realising that the entire rural belt of the region had no professional institution, the management established “Shri Gopichand College of Pharmacy at Ahera, Baghpat to fulfill the long felt need to impart professional education.

Shri Ram Karan Singh, chairman of the said society, dedicated himself to the everlasting memory of their saintly late father Shri Gopichandji who toiled hard his ancestral agricultural land all through his life in his native place Ahera. He and his family thus tendered the fittest tribute to the great man by opening this college in his name.

Shri Ram Karan singh, the founder chairman of the college is a well-known educationist and social worker of Meerut- Baghpat Region. He is a reputed Philanthropist who cares for poorest of the poor. He is a simple man of great vision who cherishes his dedicated works to bring this native rural belt on professional map of India. He is a God- Father of staff, students and employees of the college.
