About Institution

The founder president late Shri Jagadguru Gurusiddheswar Rajayogindra Mahaswamiji had a great faith in Ayurveda, which, in itself was a tremendous impetus for the then president Late Shri Jagadguru Dr. Gangadhar Rajayogindra Mahaswamiji and board of management of the society to start this Ayurvedic Medical College for the benefit of the needy rural students and suffering populous of the near by areas.
The unstinted efforts put by Shri A.B. Patil. Ex –Minister and Ex- MLA, Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer and other well wishers of the Society, this college got established in the year 1996-97 with intake capacity of 25 students. Subsequently the intake strength has been increased to 40 students and also five Post Graduate (PG – MD/MS) Courses in Dravyaguna, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra, Kayachikitsa, Prasooti Tantra & Stree Roga running since 6 years. Our College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and permitted by Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, and Department of AYUSH, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
From the year 2013-14 another Five PG Courses are upcoming in the subject of Kaumarbrithya, Panchakarma, Roganidhan & Vikriti Vignanan and Rasashastra & Bhaishagya Kalpana, Swasthavritta. The UG admission capacity will be increased from 40 to 50 seats from the academic Year 2013-14. The college is having all 14 departments as per CCIM norms with all laboratory, instruments, equipments, models and charts for teaching to the students. All necessary additional facilities has been provided for PG Courses.
A well established library containing more than 10000 books on different subjects, a rich specimen herbal garden sprawling over about 3 acres of land and separate hostel for boy’s and girl students with required facilities are available. All the facilities for indoor as well as out-door games have also been provided.
220 bedded Ayurvedic Hospital with all types of facilities and special emphasis on Ksharasootra and Panchakarma therapy is available. Regular medical camps in near by villages where free medical checkups and free medicines are being dispensed to the needy poor patients. Regular Health check-up camps and “Swarna Prasana” Camps for small childrens are regularly conducted, also providing medicine to the poor patients in the camps.
College is conducting guest lectures, CME s for updating the knowledge of students and Teachers. Teachers of the college are sent to various State Level, National Level, and International Seminars, Workshops etc, across the country for updating the teaching skills.

We always strive to provide advanced, modern, scientifically proven teaching through innovative research so that it can meet the needs of nation in preparation of medicine and management of diseases through Ayurveda.

Our main aim is to provide excellent and traditional ayurvedic medical education by a team of dedicated and highly skilled teaching faculty. We also aims at giving high quality ayurvedic treatment through well experienced and professional doctors.
