Sri Vasavi Institute of pharmaceutical sciences is established by Sri Vasavi Educational Society, which has substantial experience in running an engineering college (Sri Vasavi Educational Society, Which has substantial experience in running an engineering college, Tadepalligudem) since 2001.Sri Vasavi Institute of pharmaceutical sciences is a preier educational institution where Nature and Technology merge in harmony. The college is situated at Pedatadepalli, a peaceful place only 5 k.m away from the main town of Tadepalligudem, the commercial hub of coastal Andhra Pradesh. The town is well connected by N.H-5 and Kolkata- Chennai main railway line. B.Pharmacy institute is being started from this year 2005-06.

Sri Vasavi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SVIPS) started in the year 2006 by the Sri Vasavi Educational Society, is offering U.G programme in Pharmaceutical Sciences with English as of medium of instruction. SVIPS has been successful in providing and maintaining high quality in Teaching and Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Several faculty members acquired Ph. D availing the research facilities of the college.
