Tetso college was established in 1994. It is a Liberal Commerce and Arts (Humanities) College, recognised by the UGC (University Grants Commission) and affiliated to the Nagaland University. The Council of Rengma Baptist Churches (CRBC) sponsors Tetso College. The institute takes upon the responsibility of providing both dynamic and quality education to all aspiring individuals. Merely conferring and obtaining degrees is not our only goal, but we aim to help our students realise and develop their full intellectual, moral and aesthetic potentials.
TETSO is a word taken from the indigenous Rengma language. It means TOP. Seeking higher goals with a focussed direction, we adhere to our motto “Strive for Excellence”, where no compromise is made to achieve the best academic results. Over the years, Tetso College has made good progress, both academically as well as in the area of infrastructural development. We owe this to our strong faculty backed by an efficient administrative staff. The Board of Directors which has been drawn from experienced interdisciplinary and varied professional fields completes the administrative strength of the College.
Today, we have a teaching faculty of 27 experienced lecturers, dedicated to giving our students the academic excellence they need. In addition to providing academic degrees, the college emphasises on all round development, promoting extracurricular activities like inter-college meets, fests, sports and a range of other activities designed to foster positive development.
The Mission of Tetso College is to Educate, Train and Develop Professionally Competent Individuals who are committed towards Lifelong Excellence.
