About Institution

Our team of professional hockey coaches is led by former NHL player, Alumni with the Dallas Stars and Toronto Maple Leafs, Mike Kennedy. Mike has over 15 years of professional hockey experience. After retiring from a long and successful hockey career, Mike wanted to focus on coaching young athletes. He established the Sports Training Academy as a place where kids can develop their talents in many different sports, not just one.

Mike’s primary philosophy is that kids will excel with training in many different sports. When a sports broadcaster announces a player to be an ’athlete’, that is the greatest compliment of all!

Mike is a proven innovator and his extensive career in Europe has allowed him to combine the best worlds of hockey – creative, skilled European game with an aggressive positional Canadian game.

Hockey has changed tremendously in the last few years and to stay on top of it, keep your athletes going to the many training programs offered here at the Sports Training Academy.
