North-East Frontier Technical University, (NEFTU) Arunachal Pradesh (Unit of Automobile Society, Bangalore) is an initiative to impart medical, scientific, technological, general education and research in the areas which are useful for the people of the State of Arunachal Pradesh and to the country. It is also proposed to link Physical education and Sports sciences with the regular curriculum of the entire faculty so as to strengthen the body while igniting the young energetic minds. The University’s main focus will be in the areas of development, promotion of employment in the region, research that is aligned with the development needs and community development projects of the State.The university is determined to play a vital role in providing the technical manpower and know-how to the country and in pursuit of research. The Institute will strive hard to be amongst the best Universities in the country and to contribute to all sectors of development by setting a new trend. The University wishes to offer Certificates, Graduate, Post Graduate Diplomas, Bachelor’s, Post Graduate and Research Degree courses.

Vision

The available Quality of Healthcare and Educational facilities are still out of reach for the growing generation in the state of Arunachal Pradesh as the largest proportion of its people in the youngest age group. The percentage of people living below poverty line (BPL) is higher than the National average. Further, the rural masses are crawling behind the urban in good healthcare as there is the demand for the number of Medicos, paramedics and the allied and supporting staff.In case of Higher education, Gross enrolment ratio (GER) in the state of Arunachal Pradesh is 7.3 (within the age group of 18-23 years) as against the National ratio of 12.4. The Teacher student ratio in Arunachal Pradesh stands at 1:49 while same as per the UGC guide line was 1:20 which is revised to 1:30. and in educational facilities in spite of few Universities which are functioning from the state. Many students also travel to other states for the want of educational facilities.The founders of the University are consciousness towards social and cultural commitments. This basic concept has driven them of clear vision to evolve it into a Model Rural University with emphasis on Physical Education and Sports sciences for all the students of the University. This is based on a three pronged emphasis on the need of Health, Education & Health care facility for masses and the aspiration of the students of the rural areas and to bridge the gap in the education and employability in the present day.

The University is determined to carve a niche in the professional courses by becoming a light house for all those seeking wisdom through education with the best infrastructure in a pollution free green campus in an environment with rich bio-diversity. The University will initially focus in the districts of the state of Arunachal Pradesh and is poised to grow over 400 districts of our Nation.The University is dedicated to the discovery, development, communication, and application of knowledge in a wide range of academic and professional fields. Its mission of providing the highest quality undergraduate, graduate, post graduate and Doctoral programs is inseparable from its mission of developing new understandings through research and creativity.
