About University

Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS), Bikaner established in 2010, is a newly constituted body established under section (3) of section 1 by Government of Rajasthan. The RAJUVAS, Bikaner is to look after the work of teaching, research and extension in the fields of veterinary and animal science, dairying, fisheries and allied sciences in the state of Rajasthan. The University is offering a 5 years Bachelors degree of the B.V.Sc. & A.H., two years Masters Degree, M.V.Sc. in 16 subjects, and 3 years Doctoral degree.The prime vision of the University is to make available appropriately trained human resource, generate suitable technologies and transfer new technical knowledge to stakeholders for the purpose of enhancing income of farmers and landless livestock owners through animal husbandry in Rajasthan. The University is having 3 constituent colleges i.e. at Bikaner, Navania-Vallabhnagar (Udaipur district) and PGIVER, Jaipur. There are 7 private veterinary colleges affiliated to RAJUVAS.

Mission
