About University

Rayalaseema University, Kurnool was established in 2008. The university has been granted with an A Grade certification by the NAAC constituted by UGC. The university leads conventional degree, post graduate and research courses as well as areas like Geology, Pharmacy, Criminology & Forensic Science, Anthropology and Computer Applications which draw a large number of students. It is a state university and a member of the Association of Indian Universities, AIU.

The University envisages its growth in terms of promoting equity and access, relevance, quality and accountability to redeem the irredeemable backwardness of the region through democratization of higher education. The main aim of the university is to impart higher education to the rural youth of the backward district of Kurnool in the drought- prone region of Rayalaseema.
