About University

Recognizing its contribution to technical and professional education the University Grants Commission (UGC), in 2007, declared Siksha 'O' Anusandhan as a Deemed University U/S 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Ever since its inception Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University, along with all its constituent institutes, has shown impressive progress in terms of knowledge & skills development, human resource and material resources. This has been corroborated by its accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of University Grants Commission (UGC) with 'A' Grade in the year 2009. Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University has also been accredited by International Accreditation Organisation (IAO) for its quality of Education. The University is strategically located in the city, with accessibility to the Railway Station, Airport and State Secretariat. Each institute of the University has its own campus that blends environment friendly architecture with abundant greenery. The founder of the University, Prof. Manojranjan Nayak is an eminent educationist and a humanist at heart. His vision nourished a noble rubric of institutions dedicated to contemporary branches of education and research encompassing technology, medical, dental, nursing, biotechnology, business administration, pharmacy, agriculture and law. Transparency in administration, delegation of authority, and functional autonomy, emphasis on quality education and research are the main principles of SOA.
